Whispering Winds Retreat Haven is on a 2-year hiatus while the farmhouse is being used for another purpose.

Whispering Winds Retreat Haven is a bed and breakfast on a mission:
- A place to relax in the peace and quiet of the country...
- A place to be still and be renewed by the Spirit.
The dual mission of Whispering Winds is to provide a peaceful getaway for all guests, and to provide a quiet setting for personal and small group retreats.
Whispering Winds is a remodeled farmhouse located on the edge of Cambridge, Wisconsin - 30 minutes east of Madison, 1 hour west of Milwaukee, and 2 hours northwest of Chicago. The farmhouse is surrounded by 3 acres of lawn and gardens - a quiet, peaceful setting. The bed and breakfast has 4 guest rooms, each with a private bath.
Whispering Winds welcomes individuals, couples, families, and small groups for personal getaways or retreats of any duration, from a couple hours of quiet meditation at the end of a busy day, to a day or two, a week or two, or a month or more of time to relax in the peace and quiet of the country.

A Tour of the Grounds...
The front porch, which is wheelchair accessible, faces west, providing a perfect place to sit and watch the sun set over farm fields, while birds sing in the huge maples near the house, and chipmunks scamper over the front lawn.
The porch leads to a fully enclosed gazebo, a cozy place to be outside, yet protected from weather.
A rose bed is next to the porch, and then a small raised garden for herbs and a few vegetables - right outside the kitchen door.

A walk across the lawn brings you to another rose bed, one filled with old-fashioned shrub roses. A bench invites you to sit and enjoy the fragrance as well as the bright colors.
A sidewalk makes a circle around the house, leading to Asian lilies, lambs ear, hostas, day lilies, tulips and daffodils, lilies of the valley, black-eyed susans. What you see, what you smell, and what you hear varies by season.

A Short Tour of the House...
The
SUN ROOM is a favorite gathering space inside the house. It can comfortably accommodate a dozen or more people for a group gathering - or be a cozy place to curl up with a book and look outside on a rainy day. The Sun Room doubles as a library, with a small but growing collection of inspirational books.
On wintry days, the LIVING ROOM, with its gas fireplace, is often the preferred gathering space. It is also large enough to accommodate a dozen or more people. It's also a cozy place to curl up beside the fireplace with a good book to read.
The Living Room has a piano than can be played by individuals who simply enjoy playing for relaxation or artistic expression, or by groups who like to sing together.
The DINING ROOM is in the center of the house. As many as 8 people can sit comfortably around the dining room table. For larger groups, tables can also be set up in the Sun Room and Living Room.
The PRAYER ROOM (below) can be used by individuals, spiritual directors, or small groups.

The RAINBOW ROOM is a small sitting room upstairs. It can be used by individuals or small groups. There's a digital piano in this room, that can be used with headphones by anyone who wants to enjoy making music alone.
